Deliverance Church HIV/AIDS Policy
Preamble

Deliverance Church Kenya was founded in 1970 with a spontaneous group of 56 believers. The first churches were established in Mombasa, Kisumu, Murang'a and Kericho and have since spread to other parts of Kenya including Nakuru, Eldoret, Mt. Kenya and Machakos. The desire of the Deliverance Church leadership is to have an evangelistic congregation. This has resulted in the classification of churches into eight regions with about 10 - 15 congregations each, and are headed by regional overseers. To date, Deliverance Church has congregations in Rwanda, Congo and Tanzania.

Vision Statement: Deliverance Church's Vision is to be:

¤ A church that worships God in Spirit and truth and    open to the Holy Spirit for guidance.

¤ A church that seeks to understand the Bible and    apply the Word of God on a daily basis.

¤ A church that teaches the Word in a simple and    applicable way.

¤ A church that recognizes the sanctity of    relationships and seeks to strengthen them.

¤ A church that cares for its members and wider    community in the same way that Christ did.

¤ A church that values children and youth and    integrates them appropriately in the church.

¤ A church that has a heart for the broader mission    field work and seeks to reach out into regional and    international territories.

¤ A church that supports the government of the day    and does not compromise her divine role as the    voice God in the society.
