It's a new Season, it's Kenya's time to arise and be a light to Africa and the continents of the World. It's the dawn of a New Day here in Kenya, it's a New beginning.

On 16th August 2005, Prophetess Juanita B. Weeks stepped on Kenyan soil for the first time. Its her first visit to Africa. She was in the country to speak at a three-day crusade organised by Kenya's Pentecostal Bishops and Pastors under the chairmanship of Bishop Mark Kariuki.

With a delegation of over 150 people, Prophetess Juanita was received at the airport by Bishop Mark together with other host Bishops and Pastors. It was an overwhelming moment for the Prophetess who said that she had not been met by so many people at the airport before. She later addressesd a press conference at Hotel Intercontinental.

A day after she arrived into the country, the Prophetess and her delegation were treated to a 'Kenyan Nite' welcome dinner organized to welcome them home. It was in that dinner that Prophetess Juanita was crowned 'Queen Nekesa'. 'Nekesa' is a name from one of the Kenyan ethnic groups which means 'Harvest'. She was therefore crowned the 'Queen of Harvest'.

A meeting organised for the Ladies at the KICC plenary hall could not go on due to lack of enough space to hold the crowd. The ladies turned up in huge numbers such that the hall designed to hold 3500 people could not take in any more people. The people outside the hall were thrice as many as those inside the hall. As a result of limited space, the meeting ended up being cancelled.

KENYA'S PROPHETIC WORD - 'Rise up and Walk

The coming of Prophetess Juanita B. Weeks was timely. As she shared, she said that just as her visit would not leave Kenya the same, so her life would never be the same again. She said that 8 years ago, she started praying for an experience with the God of Africa. The year 2005 was the fulness of time and she was here to experience the God of Africa and to bring a word to this Nation. The word God put in her spirit for Kenya is found in Acts 3:2-6

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. (KJV)

The crippled man had sat by the Beautiful Gate begging for alms all his life. What he got from the people going into the temple was just enough to keep him coming back each day. For a long time, the same has been happening to Kenya, what other nations and governments have been giving to this Nation has just been enough to keep us going back to ask for more. But the word of the Lord has come to call us to Rise up and walk.

The Lord sent her to Kenya to awaken the Lion of the tribe of Judah in Kenya; she was here to encourage the people of Kenya to 'Rise up and Walk'. The Holy Spirit spoke through her calling Kenyans to Rise up and Walk.The greatest challenge that Kenya faces is not poverty, it is not HIV/AIDS, the greatest challenge facing Kenya today is the lack of prayer. Kenyans are being called to pray for the Nation; for the plans of the enemy will not prosper and only prayer will save this nation.

UHURU PARK CRUSADES

Crusades were held at the Uhuru Park Grounds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Thousands upon thousands gathered on the grounds each afternoon to receive God's word. People started filling the grounds as early as 10.00am in the morning in ahead of the afternoon meetings scheduled to start at 2.00pm.

In one of the crusade days, the Holy Spirit spoke through Bishop Mark Kariuki saying that it's a new day, it's a new beginning for Kenya. There is a birthing of a new thing in the spirit for Kenya. This word came after sunset, but as soon as it came forth, the sun came up again at around 6:30 pm signifying the dawn of a new day, the beginning of a new season for Kenya.

The crusade was a great success, God's presence was so evident and shouts of victory filled the city as thousands of people gathered on the crusade grounds received the Word of God on all days. Prophetess Juanita B. Weeks consecrated the concrete grounds of the park to be threshholds where people from Kenya and all the world will come and pray. She said that the park will no longer be known as a resting place, it shall be known as a place of prayer, it is a Holy Ground.

LUNCHEON

The following Monday, after the crusades, Prophetess Juanita B. Weeks and her delegation were treated to a luncheon organized in their honor by the Ministry of Tourism. It was during the luncheon that the prophetess was presented with a Maasai Traditional Ligalia and a curved lion take back home. A traditional garment for her husband was given; he was not present at the ceremony.

Speaking at the luncheon, Prophetess Juanita said that her trip to Kenya was overwhelming and that she was taking a part of Kenya with her back to the US. It was a trip that changed her life forever, her life will never be the same again. She had experienced the God of Africa.
