Poultry
The poultry project started in the year 2002. Since then, the project has grown to employ a full time worker and has continued to raise and sell 400 table chickens at least four times in a year.

Objectives:

The poultry project was started:

  • To make Jesus Known by witnessing to the clients.

  • To support the "We Care Children’s Home" through their education and meeting their physical and economic needs.

  • To provide funds to support benevolent programs in the church.

  • To create employment for the youth in the local church.
Achievements:

We have satisfied customers especially from the hotel industry which include the Rift Valley Sports Club, Midland Hotel among others.

Challenges:

  • The raising of broilers is seasonal; sometimes the
        market is flooded and there is an over – supply.

  • Other times there is an under-supply.

    Vision for Growth:

  • To expand the work by raising more broilers and
        probably introducing layers.

  • To increase the capacity and facilities by moving the
        project to a new site.
